FIFA rep Kiron hands cheque to HK Football Association

Hong Kong, July 19: Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, Asian Football Confederation's (AFC) female representative on the FIFA Council handed over cheque for HK$400,000 (Tk 41 lakh) to Timothy Fok, President of Hong Kong Football Association at a hotel in Hong Kong.

During the program on Wednesday, Kiron said it was her great pleasure to announce this legacy grant to the Hong Kong Football Association on behalf of the Asian Football Confederation President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the AFC and the AFC Dream Asia Foundation.

She hoped that the money would go to help further develop female players and coaches of the country.

“I look forward to receiving details from the Hong Kong FA on their planned projects and their use for this money from the AFC Dream Asia Foundation,” she added.
