Dhaka, August 1: MARCEL has become title sponsors of the 2017 season of Bangladesh Championship League.

Ahead of the season starter, Bangladesh Football Federation and the sponsor group signed a contract and unveiled the logo of 'MARCEL BCL 2017' through an event at the BFF House in Dhaka’s Motijheel at 3:00pm on Tuesday.

BFF Senior Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy signed the contract on behalf of the national football body whereas FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don, Operative Director and Head of Department (Sports and Welfare), signed it for the sponsors.

For BFF, Senior Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy, General Secretary Abu Naeem Shohag, members Md Shaukat Ali Khan Jahangir, Md Fazlur Rahman Babul, Md Ilias Hossain, Zakir Hossain Chowdhury and Abdur Rahim were present on the occasion.

On the other hand, apart from FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don from the title sponsors, Shamsuddin Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Branch of Power-by sponsors Premier Bank Limited and Ishmam Salam, Director of co-sponsors Treasure Securities Limited were also present at the contract signing and logo unveiling ceremony.

'MARCEL Bangladesh Championship League 2017' is all set to kick off on August 4, 2017.

This season, ten clubs will fight it out through the season for the BCL trophy.

The participating clubs are Soccer Club Feni, Uttar Baridhara Club, Fakirerpool Young Mens Club, Agrani Bank Sports Club, Police Football Club, T&T Club Motijheel, Victoria Sporting Club, Karwan Bazar Progoti Sangha, Bashundhara Kings and NOFEL Sporting Club.

All the matches of the league will take place in capital’s Bir Shrestha Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium, Kamlapur.
