Viqarunnissa Noon School & College retained the Dhaka Metropolis Citycell Women's School Football Championship title, beating Agargaon Ideal High School by a solitary goal in the final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday. Nini scored the all-important goal for Viqarunnissa in the 27th minute. Taj Nahar of Sir John Wilson School was adjudged player of the tournament while Maisha became the highest scorer of the meet with five goals. They both received Tk 5,000 as cash reward. Champions Viqarunnissa received Tk 20,000 while the runners-up Agargaon got Tk 10,000. Chief operating officer of Pacific Telecom Limited David Lee distributed the prizes among the winners while minister for water transport Shahjahan Khan was also present as the chief guest.
