U-14 booters are fliyng off to Iran

Dhaka, May 11: Bangladesh under-14 national team are flying off to Iran on 16th of this month to participate in an AFC under fourteen festival titled “Fair Play”. They will play friendly matches and will show their basic skills in this eight days (May17 to May24) program.

The festival will be held in Hamedan, a little town 336 kilometer away from capital Tehran.

Mr. Ajfaruzzaman Khan Sohrab Bangladesh Football Federation executive committee member, is leading the 29 people contingent consisting twenty-two players, two coaches and four AFC trainees. The head coach and the trainees who will participate in different coaching and referring program will leave tomorrow and the rest will start on sixteenth May.

“They (the players) will play, to be more disciplined and this tour will make them more experienced. It is a good opportunity to produce good players” said the team leader in a press conference at BFF house today.

The head coach Abdur Rajjak was very happy for the support he got from BFF. He said ”We are practicing from 7th April, we got every kind of help we wanted from BFF, specially the logistic support they provided. I did not expect so much.” He also said “I utilized all of my experience to prepare the team.”

“Our goal is to finish the program successfully and hope we will get some good players from this team in a long run.” said BFF vice president and chairman of development committee Kazi Nabil Ahmed. General Secretary Al Musabbir Sadi of Bangladesh Football Federation was also present in the press briefing.
