Dhaka, Sep 20: Farhadikhah Parvin scored thrice to bring Iran a huge 4 – 2 triumph over India in the opening match of AFC U-19 Women's Football Championship 2011 Qualifiers Group D clash here at the Birsreshta Shahid Sepoy Mostafa Kamal Satdium, Kamalapur.

Parvin utilized a fumble of an Indian defender and scored the opener from a counter attack just seventeen minute after the start of the match.

Bindyarani Devi equalized for India by tapping home from her skipper Kamala Devi’s corner seven minutes after.

Parvin was on target again in the 29th minute. Ghashieh Samaneh managed a Tanin Naraghi right flank cross to create a good opportunity for parvin. A strong right footer by Parvin was enough to confirm the goal (2-1).

India came back in the match in the 52nd minute while Rinaroy Devi drilled home the second for her team.

Iran’s substitute Shadi Bahrami put her team ahead in the 59th minute from playmaker Tanin’s square pass inside the penalty area.

Tanin was in an excellent form today as she helped her teammate Parvin to complete the hat-trick by passing after tackling three Indian defenders in the 70th minute. Hats-off to Tanin-Parvin partnership.

“This is a very good team. Anyone of them can perform any day like Tanin and Parvin did today. India played very well but we won at the end. I am very confident to clinch the title,” said Iranian coach Amirshaghaghi Mahnaz.

Indian coach Sukla Dutta is satisfied with her teams’ performance. “We played very well but they were a little faster than us, what made the difference at the end of the day. Anyway, we have to win the next two matches,” remarked Sukla.
