India beat Bangladesh in the match of formality

Dhaka, Sep 24: India beat the hosts Bangladesh 6-0 in the match of formalities as Iran has already confirmed their place in the next phase of AFC U-19 Women’s Championship 2011 Qualifiers here at Birsreshta Shahid Sepoy Mostafa Kamal Stadium, Kamalapur today.

Iran have won all three of their total clashes whereas India and Jordan was successful in two encounters. Only one team from this group was supposed to move to the 2nd round.

India was impressive on the pitch from the very beginning and finally they got the reward in the 38th minute while a Rinaroy Devi long-range shot crashed on the crosspiece and Bindyarani Devi utilized the rebound by tapping in.

The home side got a good chance in the minute before the breather as Sabina Khatun got the opponent goalie in an one on one situation but her shot went wide of the target.

Rinaroy drilled home the second one in the 54th minute with a fierce shot from a melee.

Rinaroy increased the difference placing an angular shot on the net from the top of the penalty area in the 73rd minute (3-0).

Rinaroy was again on target from a Kamala Devi cross two minutes after to make it 4-0.

Rinaroy scored with a long low-drive from just inside the penalty area to be the best scorer of the competition with six goals in the 78th minute.

Substitute Nima Bhutia made it 6-0 by netting from a corner four minutes before the final whistle.
