Dhaka, Oct 13: The Vision Asia re-launching programme in Bangladesh started at the BFF House today.

Vision Asia, which began its journey in Bangladesh in 2005 with a tailor-made strategic plan from the Asian Football Confederation, was stopped in midway due to non-compliance of FIFA Statues but the football governing body in Asia is now ready to re-launch it.

The assessment visit by AFC, which will end on October 20, began with a seminar at the BFF House where Vision Asia Director Ms. Michelle Chai, also the Assistant General Secretary of AFC, gave a presentation about the project.

The AFC team also include Michael Andrews, Jose Marcelino Carpio and Yogesh Desai.

The BFF made three presentations, the general and governance by Al Musabbir Sadi, the BFF general secretary who had also delivered the welcome speech.

Vision Asia project coordinator Abu Nayeem Sohag delivered the competitions presentation while Abahani Limited, Dhaka, Sheikh Russel KC and Feni Soccer Club gave the club presentations.

Following the coaches’ and referees’ presentations tomorrow, the AFC team will visit clubs in Dhaka for two days before moving to Narayanganj, where they will stay four days to evaluate the Narayanganj DFA’s position as the pilot project of Vision Bangladesh.

The BFF has already revised its statutes, launched the professional league which is in its fourth season and set up a secretariat as per the Vision Asia prescriptions.
