asian games logo.jpgDhaka Nov 06: Bangladesh skipper Aminul would not be able to play the first match against Uzbekistan tomorrow due to fever informed team manager Khurshid Alam Babul over phone from Guanjhou.

The ace custodian could not attain today’s practice but the team manager also uttered some words of hope. “He(Aminul) is recovering very fast and we are expecting him in the field before the second match,” said Khurshid.

Waly and Meshu went for some light training at morning but their presence in the first matches list is also uncertain because of hamstring injury.

Bangladeshi booters had to seat idle yesterday due to heavy downpour and they watched Uzbekistan’s practice session today after their own.

The Uzbeks are physically stronger than us in assistant coach Saiful Bari Titu’s eyes. “Asian Games is a very big event and we have to show our best. The Uzbek’s have an advantage that they have a better physic but we will only concentrate on our game not on the opponents,” remarked Titu.

Coach Robert Rubcic is emphasizing ball possession and indomitable defence while he is hopeful to overcome the absence of Aminul.
