Eleta hat-trick sinks Jamal
Dhaka, February 28: Defending champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Ltd crashed into its second consecutive defeat losing to Arambagh by 3-0 goals in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Nigerian forward Eleta Kingsley slammed the second hat-trick of the league steering Arambagh to the victory.
Eleta put Arambagh ahead in the 15th minute after his compatriot Ujumefun Juel’s head off a Jahidul Islam Dalim corner rebounded from the crosspiece and Eleta headed it home (1-0).
Jamal conceded the second in the 29th minute after midfielder Md. Parvez chipped the ball to Ujumefun Juel at the top of the six yard box and he headed it to unmarked Eleta who unleashed a fierce volley in the middle of the net (2-0).
Eleta completed his hat-trick in the 37th minute as he grabbed a back pass of Jamal defender Atikur Rahman Mishu and placed the ball with the outside part of his boot (3-0).
Arambagh now has six points from five matches while Sheikh Jamal remained on their previous four from the same number of matches
