Dhaka, May 21: Traditional rivals Dhaka Abahani and Dhaka Mohammedan lock horns in the high voltage match of the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday. The match kicks off at 6:00 pm.

Abahani manager Satyajit Das Rupu vowed to take lessons from the first phase match. “The mental focus probably was in the right track, we created a lot of chances but could not capitalize, we will be aware of the weakness and take the field to win, it’s an important match for us and we are determined to win and consolidate our position at the top” said Rupu.

Mohammedan coach Emeka Ezeugo however admitted his rival’s superiority. “At the moment Abahani is at the top of the table, and they are also stronger, but with all respect to them I want to say that Mohammedan will be charged unit and the players are ready to fight it out, Abahani will have a tough time in the field” said Emeka.

This is the ninth encounter between the two teams where Abahani won three, Mohammedan one and rest of the five matches ended in a draw.
