Dhaka, May 25: Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd beat Sheikh Russell KC by 2-0 goals in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
 
In the first phase Russell beat Mohammedan 3-0.
 
Alamu Bukola Olalekan, the Nigerian forward of SheikhRussell wasted a chance in the 6th minute as he blasted the ball over the crosspiece from the six yard box after Yeamin Munna fed him a square pass.
 
Mohammedan went up in the 12th minute after forward Wahed and midfielder Mobarak played an one-two to go past the defenceand Mobarak tapped home from a close range in his second attempt. Biplob, the Russell custodian blocked the first attempt with a right side dive (1-0).
 
Titumir Chowdhury saved Mohammedan in the 61st minute as he dived into the feet of Bukola at the top of the box and he parried away another powerful shot of Yusuf in the 79th minute.
 
Oladikpikpo Okalawon, the Beninese midfielder scored the second off a penalty in the 86th minute after Russell defender Aminul fouled Nigerian forward Augustine Chizoba in the box and referee awardedthe penalty (2-0). 
 
Mohammedan took their tally to 20 points form 13 matches whileRussell remained on their previous collection of 21 points from 14 matches.
