Dhaka, June 3: Siyo Zunaipyo, the Congolese forward of Farashagnj slammed the tenth hat-trick of the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League in a 4-0 win over Rahmatganj at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday. 

With the win Farashganj took their tally to 17 points from 15 matches while Rahmatganj remained on their previous total of 9 points from 15 matches. 

Farashganj attacked from the very beginning and came close in the 5th minute but Kawsar Ahmed Rajib’s intended lob from the edge of the box hit the crosspiece. 

Farashganj went up in the 13th minute when their Congolese striker Siyo Zunapiyo chipped the ball  over onrushing goalie Shujon Chowdhury on a through pass off midfielder A. M. Arafat from the midfield.(1-0)

Goalkeeper  Samiul Islam Masum saved Farashganj from conceding goal in the 18th minute. He punched away of Shamol Ahmed Rony shot for corner. 

Rahmatganj’s  Ugandan striker Idris Kasyre missed a chance to equalize as his header off a Nche Francis free kick went straight to goalie Masum. 

After resumption, Rahmatganj tried to equalize but Nche Franchis’s free kick was fisted away by Farashganj goalie Masum in the 48th minute. 

Nigerian  Akinyele Peter doubled the lead of Farashganj in the 52nd minute. Fed by forward Akber Hossain Ridon the unmarked midfielder dribbled past Rahmatganj goalie Shujon and placed the ball in the middle of the net (2-0)

Zunapio scored the third for Farashganj in the 58th minute from a penalty. Farashganj captain Akber Hossain Ridon was brought down by Rahmatganj defender Moshfikur Uddin Shimul in the box and the referee Abdul Hannan Miron whistled for penalty. The Congolese converted the spot kick. (3-0)

Siyo Zunapio completed his first hat-trick in the league in the 65th minute by placing  the ball in the far post  off a square pass of Jewel Rana.(4-0)

 

The first leg match between the two teams ended 1-1 draw.
