Brothers humble Jamal
Dhaka, June 26: Brothers Union staged a brilliant comeback beating Sheikh Jamal 3-1 in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Brothers Union was unfortunate as Nigerian midfielder Olalekan Joshua hit the Jamal side post in the 15th minute.
Sheikh Jamal took the lead in the 29th minute as left back Mishu entered the box and sent a square pass to forward Sohel Rana who tapped the ball in the near post (1-0).
Kingsley Chigozie, the Nigerian forward saw his placing beat onrushing Jamal goalie Ashim Kumar at the middle of the box but the ball went past the sidepost.
However Adans Jankasha, the Nigerian midfielder of Brothers Union equalized in the 51st minute from a goal mouth melee (1-1)
Habib Diouf, the Senegalese forward of Brothers Union put his team ahead in the 61st minute taking a through pass of Jamal Hossain Diouf placed the ball in the far post (2-1)
Kingsley Chigozie scored the third in the 69th minute. After playing one-two with Habib Diouf Kingsley hit the far post net from the middle of the box (3-1)
With the win Brothers Union took their tally to 21 points from 19 matches while Sheikh Jamal, the defending champions finished their this years campaign with 25 points and in the sixth position.
