Dhaka, July 4: Dhaka Bank Football Fest, an exhibition match between Bangladesh Premier League champions Dhaka Abahani Ltd. and Dhaka Bank Football XI will be held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 5:30 pm on Saturday.

Dhaka Bank, one of leading bank of the private sector handed over a cheque of Tk. 25 lakh for the development of Bangladesh football in an agreement signing ceremony at the BFF House on Wednesday.

The match will have a two dimensional outlook as BFF termed it as a celebration of the just concluded Bangladesh premier league and Dhaka Bank will celebrate their 17th anniversary with the match. The gates of the big bowl will remain open for the spectators.

Kazi Salahuddin, the president of BFF welcomed Dhaka Bank to the football arena. “I welcome Dhaka Bank in the football arena, I thank them for their contribution towards the development, I hope it will be a continuing process” said Salahuddin.

Reshadur Rahman, the chairman of Dhaka Bank expressed confidence about a lasting relationship. “Football is most popular game of the world, its appeal is divine, we are here to contribute for the development of football and help to raise the standards” said Rahman.

BFF senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedy, vice president Badal Roy, ex-co member Amirul Islam Babu, acting general secretary Abu Naeem Shohag, Dhaka Bank MD Khandokar Fazle Rashid, DMD Emranul Huq and former chairman Hayatuzzaman were  also present on the occasion.

Midfielders- Mamunul, Shakil, Jewel Rana, Abdul Batem Komol, Jamal Hossain, Emon Babu, Didarul. Forwards- Toklis, Anwar, Mithun Chowdhury, Emily. Coaches- Maruful Huq and Zakaria Babu.
