Dhaka, November 30: Abahani Ltd. moved into the semifinals of the Walton Federation Cup beating Feni Soccer 2-0 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday. 

Abahani never threatened Feni Soccer in the whole first half and the lone notable move was created by Feni Soccer in the 31st minute. Wasiou Oladikpikpo, the Gambian forward of Feni Soccer shot a grounder for the top of the box but Abahani goalie Sohel saved it for a corner. 

However Abahani took the lead in the 53rd minute off a free kick. Atikur Rahman Mishu, the left back curved the ball into the near post  from the left edge of the box. (1-0)

Abahani  was deprived off a sure goal in the 72nd minute when Abdul Baten Komol pushed a ball past onrushing Feni Soccer goalie Piru after a long ball of Samad Youssef  landed in the Feni Soccer D-box, but Feni defender Alauddin cleared the ball  from the goal line.

In the 86th minute Ali Hasan’s free kick was headed by Wasiou but it rebounded off the crosspiece. 

In the injury time Ossie Morrision added second with solo effort. (2-0)

Abahani will play  against the Sheikh Jamal in the first semifinal.
