Dhaka, January 3: Muktijoddha and  Dhaka Mohammedan played a 1-1 tie  in the Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.

Mohammedan forward  Zahid Hasan Emily volleyed the ball over the bar from the box after Eleta Benjamin’s cleared Jahid’s cross in the 38th minute. 

Enamul Haque, the Muktijoddha midfielder fired over the bar from the top of the box.

In the 67th minute Wahed found Muktijoddha goalie Rasel Mahmud Liton alone but Liton’s timely diving saw Wahed lost control of the ball. 

In the 77th minute Muktijoddha forward Nkwocha Kingsley saw his low cross brilliantly intercepted by Mohammedan defender Mintu Sheikh, Elita Kingsley was unmarked in the middle of the box. 

In the 81st minute Nkwocha Kingsley carrying a through pass of Elita Kingsley placed the ball past Mohammedan goalie Mamun Khan but the ball rolled past the side post. 

Nkwocha Kingsley scored the winner in the 85th minute as he took control of a long ball in the middle of Mohammedan box and placed the ball in the far post (1-0)

In the 90th minute Mohammedan winger Zahid Hossian was fouled by Eleta Benjamin in the box and Emily duly fired the penalty home (1-1)
