Dhaka, February 9: Dhaka Abahani Ltd was held to a 1-1 draw by Chittagong Abahani Ltd.in the Nitol Tata Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.
 
Abahani Ltd dominated the match but lack of finishing touch saw them content with a small margin win.
 
Abahani took the lead in the 10^th minute through their Cameroonian forward Ekele Patrick. Standing unmarked in the middle of the box the Cameroonian forward received a right flank cross of Ghanaian attacker Awudu Ibrahim and placed it into the near post net (1-0)
 
Dhaka Abahani wasted two chances in the 81^st and 82^nd minute but Arman Aziz and Abdul Baten Mojumdar Komol’s headed effort was punched to safety by Ctg Abahani goalie Nahiduddin.
 
Ctg Abahani equalised in the 85^th minute when forward Sohel Miah ran past the Dhaka Abahani defence with a cross Javed Khan and beat Dhaka Abahani goalie Shahidul Alam Sohel with left footer that went between the legs of the Abahani goalie (1-1)
 
Dhaka Abahani has 18 points from eight matches while Ctg. Abahani has 5 points from nine matches.
