Dhaka, February 10: The president of Bangladesh Football Federation Kazi Salahuddin will witness the 1st semifinal of the 118th IFA Shield between Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Ltd and East Bengal at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan on Tuesday.

BPL outfit Sheikh Jamal moved to the semifinal of the IFA Shield after starting their campaign with a 2-1 loss to Kolkata Mohammedan but bounced back to the winning ways with 3-1 win over Sikim United and a 1-0 win over Mohun Bagan. 

Till date Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd is the only team to play in the final of the IFA Shield. The Dhaka giants however lost the final  of the 1995 edition to East Bengal 3-1 in the shootout after the stipulated time ended 1-1.
