Dhaka, March 26: Sheikh Russell moved to the quarter finals of the Modhunmoti Bank Independence Cup Football as the champions of group D with a goalless draw with Brothers Union at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday. 

In the 55th minute Brothers forward Md. Yusuf saw his fierce drive saved for a corner by Russell goalie Biplob who dived full to his left. 

Six minutes later Russell's Serbian midfielder Miroslav Savanovic's powerful shot from 20 yards was punched to safety by Brothers custodian Sabuj Das Roghu. 

Russell have four points from two matches while Brothers have two. Chittagong Abahani the other team of the group earned one point,
