Dhaka, April 18: Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club started their 2^nd phase of Nitol Tata Bangladesh Premier League with a 2-1 win over Chittagong Abahani Ltd at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
 
Forward Sohel Mia put Ctg Abahani ahead in the 8^th minute of the match from a misunderstanding between Sheikh jamal defenders and goalkeeper. Defender Diderul Haque sent a back pass to goalie Md. Ziaur Rahman who failed to hold the ball and Ctg Abahani’s forward Sohel placed it into the net from zero angel. (1-0)
 
Jamal had chance to level the score but Nigerian forward Denial Onyekachi’s right footed shot from the box was saved by Selim Ullah dived to the right in the 20^th minute.
 
Denial squandered another opportunity in the 63^rd minute as his header went wide on a cross of Haitian forward Wedson Anselme.
 
However, Jamal came back in the match in the 73^rd minute when captain Nasiruddin Chowdhury’s header hit the back of the net the cross was fed by Wedson from the left. (1-1)
 
Jamal were very neat to take lead but Wedson fierce right footer was blocked by Ctg Abahni’s goalie Selim Ullah in the 80^th minute.
 
Captain Nasir doubled the lead in the 90th minute with a nice volley again on cross off Haitian Wedson from the left. (2-1)

In the first leg Jamal also beat Ctg Abahni 3-1.
 
After the win, Jamal took their tally to 24 points from 10 matches while Ctg Abahani remained their previous earning of 5 points from same number of matches.
