Dhaka, July 21: Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club and Brothers Union played out a goalless tie in the Nitol-Tata Bangladeah Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.

In the 8^th minute Mohammedan right wing Arup Baidya changed his flank and managed to run down the flank, Brothers goalie Md. Sujon came out of his position but Arup’s upward shot flew over the crosspiece. 

Mohammedan left back Topu Barman tried his luck in the 38^th minute with a powerful left footer but Sujon was in the right position to grip the ball.
 
In the 47^th minute, Towhidul Alam Sabuz squandered a chance to provide his team a lead when he failed to touch a cross of defender Ariful Islam that was curved from the right flank. 

Md. Sujon was in his best in the 58^th minute as he dived to his left to fist a Mejbabul Haque Manik’s left footed placing shot, Arup Baidya paved the way for Manik at the middle of the box. 

Topu Barman came close to a strike in the 70^th minute when his right footed chip on a long ball of Wahed beat Shujon in the air but missed the far post.

Brothers Union’s midfielder Shafikul Islam saw his 20 yarder in the 87^th minute blocked by a diving Mohammedan custodian Titumir Chowdhury .

Mohammedan have 42 points from 26 matches while Brothers took their tally to 38 points from the same number of matches.
