BD U-23 beat Nepal U-23

August 26: Bangladesh U-23 team beat Nepal U-23 team 1-0 in the international friendly
match at the Army Stadium on Tuesday.
Forward Hemanta Vincent created the great chance to open the scoring
in the 14th minute of the match. After dodging past two defenders,
Yousuf Sifat sent a through pass to Hemanta who broke into the penalty area but
his shot parried away by Nepalese goal keeper Alan Neupane for a corner.
Forward Sohel Rana broke the deadlock in the 60th minute
and scored the winning goal for the Bangladesh. Collecting a miss clearance of a Nepal
defender after Mamunul’s corner, the Sheikh Jamal midfielder unleashed a
powerful grounder from 20 yards out that hit the net top of left corner.
Bangladesh will play their next match against Nepal in Sylhet on
Friday next. The match tickets will be available at BFF House and Metropolis
League Committee office.
