Nepal U-23 beat BD 1-0
Dhaka: Visiting Nepal U-23 team beat Bangladesh U-23 1-0 in the second match of the SS Steel International Friendly Series at the Sylhet stadium on Friday.
Bangladesh won the first of the two match series by the same margin at Dhaka.
Bangladesh forward Wahed Ahmed came close to a strike in the 11th minute but he failed to control the ball while trying to generate power.
Nepal playing counterattacking football also pulled out their chances. Bholalanath Silwal saw his header miss the crosspiece and skipper Sagar Thapa shot over in the 29th and 48th minutes.
Sushil Kesing scored the winner in the 77th minute with a left footed pacing shot on a cut back of Robin Shreshta.
The match as delayed one hour as thousands of crowd entered the field while the galleries were jam packed.
