Dhaka, September 11: The Bengal Group Senior Division Football League comprising 10 teams starts at the Kamalapur stadium on Friday.

Bengal Group is sponsoring the league with a purse of Tk. 1.5 million. Commerce minister Tofael Ahmed will inaugurate the meet as the chief guest. BFF president Kazi Salahuddin will be present as the special guest.

The deal was revealed in press conference held at the BFF House yesterday. BFF senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedy, Sheikh Md. Maruf Hasan, the chairman of the Dhaka Metropolis Football League Committee, BFF general secretary Abu Naeem Shohag and Md. Jashimuddin, the vice chairman of the sponsors Bengal Group were present on the occasion.

The champions and the runners-up teams gets the ticket of Bangladesh Championship League, the second tier of the professional league next season.
