Dhaka, October 2: Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club lifted the title of the Airtel U-18 Football beating Brothers Union  2-0  at the Bangabandhu National stadium on Thursday.

The first half was a barren one with Brothers Union seeing one of their goal disallowed due to offiside. Mohammedan attackers did not enjoy much success in the opposition defence. 

But after the first half Mohammedan came close to a strike in the 50th minute. Nizamuudin Khurshid curved a cross from the left flank and forward Abu Sufian missed the flight while trying to head the ball inside the post.

However Mohammedan took the lead in the 71th minute through a combined attack, Abu Sufian rolled an angular through pass to Badrul Hasan Tutul who chipped the ball over the onrushing Brothers goalie Shawkat Osman Helal (1-0).

Brothers Union tried hard for an equaliser but a stubborn Mohammedan defence hold their defence intact. 

But in the second minute of the stoppage time Nizamuddin added the second off a pass of Md. Shahin (2-0)

Deputy Minister for youth and sports Arif Khan Joy distributed the prizes as the chief guest.
