U-23 team to get German keeping coach
Dhaka, March 11: Christian Sweichlerdob, the German goalkeeping coach will accompany Dutch head coach Lodewijk de Kruif who will be arriving at the capital on Wednesday.
Sweichlerdob, the German will be the second foreign goalkeeping coach of the country after Kees Kalk, who also was appointed as a part timer for the SAFF Championship 2013. The German will coach the Bangladesh goalkeepers for the AFC U-23 Qualifiers scheduled to kick-off at the Bangabandhu National Stadium from March 27.
BFF president Kazi Salahuddin expressed concern over the Bangladesh goalkeeping in the recent international fixtures and asked de Kruif about bringing in a goalkeeping coach. Responding to the reaction de Kruif arranged the services of Sweichlerdob.
Bangladesh U-23 has already started the preparation for the four nation group comprising Uzbekistan, Syria and India. Saiful Bari Titu has started the camp in absence of de Kruif who is also under the temporary contract with the BFF.
Bangladesh plays against Syria on March 27, takes on Uzbekistan on March 29 and complete the fixture with the match against India on March 31.
