Jamal return to winning ways
Dhaka, May 10. 2015: Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club returned to the winning
ways beating Muktijoddha Sanghsad KC 2-1 in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier
League after two successive draw at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.
Jamal took the lead in the very 2nd minute when midfielder
Sohel Rana initiated a corner to left back Md. Linkon and Linkon curved a cross
in the middle of the box, Nigerian forward Emeka Darlington, standing unmarked,
headed the ball into the net (1-0)
But the lead was extended for only three minutes as Muktijoddha
equalized due to a mistake of Jamal goalie Mazharul Islam Himel.
Himel failed to receive a back pass of defender Nasiruddin as the ball slipped
between his legs (1-1)
Wedson Anselme, the Haitian forward of Jamal put
his team ahead again in the 23rd minute as he carried an Emeka
Darlington through pass past the defence and shot low into the far post (2-1)
Jamal was reduced to 10 men when their midfielder Monaem Khan Raju was sent off by referee showing double yellows in the 51st minute.
After this win, Jamal took their tally to 23 points from 9
matches while Muktis remained their previous earning of 16 points from 9
matches also.
