Dhaka, May 11, 2015: Sheikh Russel KC edged past Soccer Club 2-1 in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
 
Hemonto Vincent Biswas put Russel ahead in the 14^th minute. Jamaican forward Aeek Sayeed’s shot was punched away by Soccer goalie Selim Ullah. Hemanto placed the ball into the net on rebounder. (1-0)
 
Soccer Club leveled the score through a penalty in the 19^th minute. Defender Wali Faisal brought down Soccer midfielder Abdullah Al Mamun in the box and referee whistled for penalty. Gambian forward Jatta Mostafa converted the spot kick. (1-1)  
 
In the 47^th minute Gambian forward of Soccer Club Dawda Ceesay’s shot was punched away by Russel goalie Rasel Mahmud Liton diving to the right.
 
Russel took lead again in the 60^th minute. Forward Jahid Hasan Ameli sent a cross middle of the box from the left where unmarked Nigerian forward Kingsley Chigozie headed the ball into the far post. (2-1)     
 
In the 77^th minute Kingsley Chigozie saw his shot hit the crosspiece on a low cross of Md. Zahid Hossain.
 
After this win, Russel have 16 points from 8 matches while Soccer remained with 8 points from 8 matches.
