BJMC taste first win
Dhaka, May
17, 2015: Team BJMC registered their first win beating Farashganj Sporting Club 4-0 in the
Manyavar Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on
Sunday.
Team BJMC
took the lead in the 20th minute when forward Mehedi Hasan Topu dived
forward to head a cross of Nabib Newaz
Jibon and beat Farashganj goalie Sujan Chowdhury in the near post (1-0)
Nabib Newz
Jibon would have doubled the lead in the 37th minute when he broke free through
the left flank but his left footer landed
the outside net.
Senegalese
forward Doudou Sonko doubled the margin in the 51st minute. Running down the
left flank Sonko swept past his marker and placed the ball into the far post
net (2-0)
The fate of
the match was decided in the 57th minute with Zakir Hossain Ziku scoring the
third goal. Receiving a cross of Nabib
Newaz Jibon, Ziku hit a left footer past Shujon Chowdhury (3-0)
Doudou Sonko
scored his second goal and fourth goal for BJMC with a placing shot in the injury
time. (4-0)
Team BJMC
have 5 points from nine matches while Farashganj have 4 from the same number of
encounters.
