Dhaka, July 2: Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club was held to a 2-2 draw by Rahmatganj MFS in the second phase of the Manyvar Bangladesh Premeier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday. 

Wedson Anselme put Jamal ahead in the 7th minute of the match, forward Taklis Ahmed ran down the right flank and curved a cross to the Haitian orward who tapped the ball into the net (1-0)

The lead was extended in the 2oth   minute and it was Wedson Anselme who scored the second. With a solo effort he made his way through the Rahmatganj defence and beat onrushing Rahmamtaganj goalie Md. Al Amin with a side-footed placing shot. (2-0)

Rahmatganj reduced the margin in the 41st minute through their Guinean midfielder Lamime Camara. Taking advantage of being unmarked, the tall midfielder pouched a clearance and slammed home with a cracking shot from  20 yards out. (2-1)

Jamal dominated the proceedings in the second half but failed to convert the attacks into a goal. 

In the 82nd minute Didarul Alam, the Rahmatganj forward carrying a through ball of Mannaf Rabbi  found Jamal goalie Mazharul Islam Himel in a one to one situation but Didar’s placing shot was parried away by Himel. 

But with a few seconds remaining Gideon Solomon, the Nigerian forward equalised with a cracking angular shot after Mannaf Rabbi lobbed the ball into the path of him. (2-2)

Jamal has 27 points from 12 matches while Rahmatganj took their tally to ten points from 12 matches.
