Dhaka, 11 Aug 2015: Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd beat Rahmatganj 1-0 in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Mohammedan took the lead in the 10thÂÂ minute with their Guinean forward Ismael Bangoura headed an Arup Baidya cross into the middle of the net (1-0)
Rahmatganj came close to a strike in the 27thÂÂ minute when winger Md. Sohel’s long ranger struck the cross piece of Mohammedan goalie Ashraful Haque Rana. In the 40thminute forward Didarul Alam’s head on a cross of Md. Sohel flew just inches away of the side post.
Rahmatgan's trauma continued in the second half also, 10 minutes after the restart Gideon Solomon's angular shot from the middle of the box whistled past the side post with goalie Rana stranded in the near post.
Mohammedan have 37 points from 19 matches while Rahmatganj have 14 from 19 matches also.
