Sponsors boost Bangabandhu Gold cup
Dhaka, January 7: Sponsors pledged to help the Bangladesh Football Federation in their effort of making Bangabandhu Gold Cup as one of the leading tournaments of Asia in the future.
The sponsors of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup were presented in a presser at the BFF House on Thursday. The 2016 edition of Bangabandhu Gold Cup will AB Bank as the presenting sponsors, Beximco, Ha-Meem Group, Bangladesh Association of Banks, as the co-sponsors, US Bangla Airlines as the domestic airline partner, Ifad Multi Products as the food partner, Mum as the official drinks, Aamra Netwroks as the official Internet service provider and Lotto as the sponsor of Bangladesh and U-23 national football team. Channel 9 remains as the rights holder and host broadcaster.
Shamim Ahmed Chaudhury, the managing director of AB Bank said they would continue to support the tournament hoping it would provide a positive impact on the football.
A.K.Azad, the managing director of Ha-Meem Group said BFF would take the plans of expanding the tournament and celebrate the 50 years of independence in 2021.
Nurul Fazal Bulbul, the member secretary of BAB research and training center said he hopes the tournament will grow in stature.
BFF president Kazi Salahuddin, senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedy, Enayetur Rahman Bappi, the MD of Virgo Media, Md. Kamrul Islam, DGM of USD Bangla Airlines, Ifthekhar Hossain, ATL In-charge Brand of Ifad, Monzur Morshed, manager Aamra abd Sanath Pushakumara, general manager of Lotto were also present on the occasion.
