Dhaka, August 14: Chittagong Abahani climbed to the top of the table with a 6-1 win over Uttar Baridhara in the JB Bangladesh Premier League at the Rafikuddin Bhuiyan Stadium,Mymensingh on Sunday.

With the win Chittagong Abahani took their tally to 11 points from five matches while Baridhara remained on their previous collection of three points from five encounters.

Midfielder Jahid Hossian scored the quickest goal of this edition of Bangladesh Premier League in the 34th second of the match when he headed a Sohel Rana cross past Baridhara goalie Razib (1-0)

However midfielder Khalekuzzaman Sobuj scored the equalizer in the 6th minute with a fierce right footer from 20 yards out that beat Abahani goalie Rana in the far post (1-1)

Haitian forward Leonel Preux put Abahani back in the lead again in the 26th minute, taking control of through pass of Mamunul Islam, the Haitian drilled an angular shot in the far post net (2-1)

Winger Md Ibrahim scored twice in the 39th (3-1) and in the third minute of the added time courtesy of a Jahid Hossain square pass and a cut back of Leonel Preux (4-1)

In the 86th minute Shakil added the fifth with a solo effort (5-1)

Three minutes before the stipulated time defender Rayhan Hasan fired the sixth from the middle of the box (6-1)
