Dhaka, 19 September 2016: Team BJMC registered their first victory in the JB Bangladesh Premier League beating Uttar Baridhara 2-1 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.

Midfielder Mazharul Islam Sourov put Uttar Baridhara ahead in the 10^th minute of the match. Defender Khalekurzaman Shobuj cut a free kick in the box where Sourov headed the ball into the far net. (1-0)

BJMC Nigerian midfielder Samson Iliasu equalized the score two minutes later with a nice header. (1-1)

Baridhara were unfortunate in the 20^th minute of the match when Mazharul Islam Sourov’s left footer was saved by BJMC defender Saiful Islam from the goal line.

Baridhra were again unfortunate in the 29^th minute when Khalekurzaman Shobuj’s 20 yards free kick hit the crosspiece.

BJMC took the lead in the 40^th minute of the match through Samson Iliasu. Midfielder Abdullah Al Mamun made a square pass to Illiasu who placed the ball into the net. (2-1)

After the win BJMC earned 7 points from 7 matches while Uttar Baridhara remained with 3 points from 7 matches.
