Dhaka, 21 September 2016: Abahani Limited stormed to the top of the table with a 3-0 victory over Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in the JB Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.

In the 17^th minute Abahani came close to the first strike of the match. Carrying a through pass of Emon Babu, English forward Lee Tuck went down the right flank and cut a low cross, Hemanto Vinsent Biswas came forward and unleased a powerful right footer that brilliantly saved by Mohammedan goalie Md. Nehal.

Abahani took the lead in the 27^th minute. English forward Lee Tuck sent a through pass at the right flank Hemonta took control of the ball at the edge of the box and completed the job with a cool headed placing shot at the far post past onrushing Mohammedan goalie Md. Nehal. (1-0)

Md. Nehal saved his team from conceding another goal in the 76^th minute. Abahani forward Jewel Rana cut a low cross from the right flank and Sunday Chizoba flicked the ball toward the post, Nehal managed to fist the ball safety.

Abahani forward Sunday Chizoba doubled the lead in the 89^th minute. Midfielder Shahed made a nice through pass to Sunday who placed the ball into the near post beating Nehal in the near post. (2-0)

Lee Tuck sealed the victory for Abahani in the injury time. Sunday paved the way for Lee Tuck who placed the ball over the on rushing goalie Nehal.

With the win Abahani took their tally to 15 points playing 7 matches while Mohammedan remained their previous earning of 5 points playing 7 matches. (3-0)
