Dhaka, 18 October 2016: Sheikh Russel Krira Chakkra upset Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club 1-0 in the JB Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.

In the 8 minute Jahid Hasan Emily missed a chance to score. Nasirul Islam Nasid delivered a low cross in the box but Emily failed to connect the ball.

Nasirul Islam Nasir put Russel ahead in the 15^th minute. Jamal bhuiyan initied the attack in the midfield, push the ball to Monayem Khan Raju who cut a angular through pass to onrushing Nasir, playing as a forward but actually defender Nasir beat Jamal goalkeeper Mazharul Islam Himel between the legs. (1-0)

Jamal were unfortunate in the 30^th minute when midfielder Rakib Sarker hit sidepost with a cracking left footer from the middle of the box.

In the 41^st minute Jamal midfielder Sarowar Zaman Nipu saw his shot punching away by Russel goalie Ziaur Rahman.

Jamal were frustrated again as Wedson Anselme’s free kick was punched to safety by goalie Ziaur in the 62^nd minute but Zia became injure and has been taken to hospital.

After the match Russel have 8 points from 11 matches while Jamal have 19 points from 11 matches.
