Dhaka, 07 November 2016: Chittagong Abahani Limited edged past Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited 1-0 in the JB Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.

Mohammedan were unfortunate in the 29^th minute as their Gunnian forward Ismael Bangoura saw right footed curving shot hit the side post and return to the game.

Ctg Abahani took the lead in the 44^th minute of the match from an own goal by Mohammedan defender Biswanath Ghosh . Winger Zahid Hossain chipped a ball from the right flank and Yousuf was trying to clear but his header hit the body of Bishwanath and Landed into the post. (1-0)

After the win Ctg Abahani earned 27 points from 13 matches while Mohammedan remained with 12 points from 13 matches.
