Dhaka, December 15: Dhaka Abahani staged a superb comeback in a fighting 3-2 win over Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi in a crucial match of the JB Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday. 

The consolidated Abahani’s position at the top of the table with 46 points from 20 matches and they require only four points from their remaining two matches.  Sheikh Jamal remained on 30 points from 20 matches.

Jewel Rana put  Abahani in the 43^rdminute heading a rebounder off the hand of Jamal goalie Mazharul Islam Himel (1-0).

Jamal’s Gambian midfielder Landing Darboe restored the parity in the 48^thminute with a looping shot over Abahani goalie Shahidul Alam Sohel (1-1)

Abahani suddenly took a back seat in the 81^stminute when Emeka Darlington slammed the second for Jamal with a cool finishing from the left edge of the box (2-1).

But Nabib Newaz Jibon netted two close range goals in the 90+1 and 90+3minutes to seal the crucial victory. On both occasions Jewel Rana provided the ball from the middle of the box and Jewel Rana made the scoreline 3-2.
