Newly elected FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated Dhaka Abahani for becoming the first unbeaten champions of the Bangladesh Premier League.

A letter dated January 10 from the FIFA headquarters in Zurich was sent to Abahani president for achieving the unprecedented feat in the nine editions of the league thus far.

He also congratulated the blues on becoming record five-time BPL champions.

Infantino wrote, “lt gives me great pleasure to send my heartfelt congratulations to Dhaka Abahani and their indomitable team on this great achievement.”

“This title is the result of the determination of everyone involved and my congratulations go to the players, the coach, the entire technical and medical staff, and the fans,” he added.

The FIFA President also thanked Dhaka Abahani and BFF, ‘on behalf of the entire football community’, for helping spread the positive message of football.
