China, April 21: The U16 girls are all pumped and looking forward to their encounters in China.
The first match is scheduled against the Chinese U14 team on the afternoon of April 22 at Xian of Shaanxi Province of China.
The head coach, Golam Rabbani Choton, said that the matches would be crucial for the girls to gather more experience as well as exposure before the AFC finals in Thailand later this year.
"China is a very strong team. And we will try to play our best football," he said.
Having reached there on the 20th, the girls had a couple of hours of practice on Friday morning.
"We went for sightseeing in the afternoon," Ahsan Ahmed Amit, BFF's head of media, travelling with the team, said the girls were really enjoying it in China. "They are just a little tired. But another night’s sleep will take care of that."
Skipper Krishna Rani Sarkar said that the girls had been training hard for a month and a half, suggesting that their performance should reflect their hard work so far.
She said, "We will give a good fight and hope to come away with a good result."
