Sabella stays calm and cool against Nigeria

Dhaka, August 5: Argentine coach Alejandro Sabella stayed calm and cool ahead of his teams FIFA International Friendly against Nigeria on Monday.  Sabella’s men  will be facing the Super Eagles for the second time in the Fifa free window within four months. In the first meeting between both sides on June 1 at the National Stadium in Abuja, the Super Eagles overran an under-strength Albiceleste side 4 – 1.

But Dhaka on Tuesday, the two time world champions will come up against a star-studded Argentina. Sabella relishing the 1-0 win over Venezuela on September 2 at Kolkata

Sabella was optimistic over his chances.  “This is the first time I came here. We played a match just two days ago against Venezuela. We didn’t have much time; we only have three days to prepare ourselves however we cant to carry on .”

The Argentine coach was not thinking about the previous match against Nigeria.“It is totally different. Last time it was played in Nigeria, now we are in a different country. I don’t know which team Nigeria going to play tomorrow, whatever we are now more stronger than the previous match ( against Nigeria). You will see tomorrow.”

He was counting his team’s strength. “Argentina is now a strong team, we will be attacking and also will have to be good at defending.”However he did not reveal his teams formation.

“I can’t say right now. We have a practice session on the evening, just before the game we will decide.”

A modest man Sabella was not thinking about any revenge also. “I don’t think revenge is a good thing, not good for human being, not even for anyone. What we will try is to win. I’m not thinking about revenge, it wouldn’t be good for us.”

He was also thinking to establish a formidable relationship with his star.
“Messi is a great player, and now the best player of the world; he earned the respect of all because the way he plays football. I have a very good relationship with him. He has also good bond with the others players which in turn will foster the strength”

At the end of the road he thanked Bangladesh. "I know very little about Bangladesh. they are far away from our country. But I'm surprised with the hospitality and i want to thank everyone."
