Lionel Messi pulled the strings in the middle of the park as Argentina dominated the much-anticipated friendly against Nigeria, scoring two goals in the first half. Argentina had the first chance in the game when Messi sent Higuain through but the goalkeeper raced forward to clear the danger.

Goal Messi cuts a delicate chip from the midfield and Higuain receives it at the top of the box, went past a defender and slammed home form the middle of the box to put Argentina ahead in the 24^th minute.

Messi magic ! Argentina shocks Nigeria again. The little maestro dribbles past four Nigerian defenders and paves the way for Di Maria who pocks the ball into the near post in the 26^th minute.

Obasi Chinedu reduced the margin in the 46^th minute after Obi Jon Mikel cut the ball back to the substitute midfielder who slammed home from the middle of the box.

But Higuain put Argentina to the two goals lead again in the 66^th minute when he ran through the Nigerian defence with Messi through pass and tapped home the rebound off the hands of Nigerian goalie Dele Aiyenugba.
