Feni Soccer hold Skh Russel
Dhaka, February 3: Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra were held to a 1-1 draw by Feni Soccer Club in their first Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
Feni's Nigerian forward Rowland's first half strike was cancelled out by Cameroonian forward Ernest Sinkam Emako in the second half.
Just six minutes on the clock, Feni forward Rowland broke the deadlock. After receiving a through pass from Lutfur Rahman Nayon, Rowland took a shot that went over the Sheikh Russell goalie Biplob into the top corner to hit the net.
Feni enjoyed a period of possession in the first half while Sheikh Russell bounced back in the second hand and got their rewards in 79th minute. After a handball of Feni defender Okoye Victor in the d-box, Feni defender Okoye Victor was sent off in the 78th minute Sheikh Russell earned a penalty. Ernest Emako made no mistake to score from the spot and equalized the margin.
