BJMC draw with Brothers
Dhaka, February 18: Team BJMC and Brothers Union split the points in a 1-1 draw in the lone match of the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.
Both the teams were cautious in the opening minutes Brothers came close to a strike twice. In the 15th minute Nigerian Kingsley Chogozie shot over the crosspiece and in the 25th minute Olalekan Joshua, his compatriot placed the ball in the outside net from a close range.
However Brothers took the lead in the 41st minute as Olalekan Joshua hit the back of the net with side shot after Shah Alamgir Anik’s square pass fell in his way at the top of the six yard box (1-0).
Team BJMC scored the equalizer in the 74th minute after Rony Islam send an Abul Hossain free kick in the middle of the box and Cameroonian defender Bayebeck placed the ball inside the net (1-1).
The draw saw Team BJMC took their tally to four points from two matches while Brothers Union earned their first point in three matches.
